Job summary

Terros Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Special Programs Biller to join our Revenue Cycle team. This full-time role supports billing for contracts and grants, coordinates day-to-day processes, and ensures timely, accurate claims submission across programs.

You will work with cross-functional partners, stay current on coding requirements, and help develop best practices. A high school diploma is required, with 5+ years in healthcare billing and NextGen experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a health care billing position.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NextGen or similar HER.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience interacting with cross functional partners and external payers.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Understands and ensures adherence to the details of relevant contracts and grants, especially billable services and billing procedures.
• Creates and maintains program billing and payment policies, procedures, workflows, and related documentation.
• Coordinates day-to-day billing processes for special programs including services reviews and data reconciliation.
• Ensures all billing is completed timely and per contract or grant requirements.
• Creates and maintains billing reports and data for leadership and financial teams.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement to ensure efficient workflows.
• Collaborates with contract and grant authorities to resolve issues and maintain relationships.
• Keeps up to date on coding requirements and best practices; attends external training as needed.
• Assists with other claims projects and standard billing as needed.

Under the general supervision of the Sr, Director, Revenue Cycle, the Special Programs Biller performs the following essential duties.

• Understands and ensures adherence to the details of relevant contracts and grants, especially billable services and billing procedures
• Creates and maintains program billing and payment policies, procedures, workflows, and related documentation
• Coordinates the day-to-day billing processes for special programs to include services reviews, coordination with third parties and various internal teams, data reviews and reconciliation
• Ensures all billing is completed timely and per contract or grant requirements
• Creates and maintains billing reports and data, to be shared with leadership and financial teams
• Identifies and executes opportunities for improvement to ensure efficient and reliable processes
• Collaborate with contract and grant authorities to resolve issues and maintain collaborative relationships
• Stay up to date on coding requirements and best practices, including attending external training and meetings to proactively develop and implement forward thinking best practices.
• Assists with other claims projects and standard billing as needed.

• This role is a non-driving position. This position is performed at one location and does not require travel to various Terros Health centers. May be 18 years of age and with less than two years’ driving experience or no driving experience.
• Must pass a TB test, a criminal background check and drug test
