Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID is seeking a Day shift, full-time Cardiac Cath Lab Special Procedures Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform routine and special radiologic procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging while adhering to safety protocols and documenting each step of the patient journey.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT or RCIS certification, BLS, and ACLS with completion of a 6-lead EKG course within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Certification/registration as Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or RCIS through CCI or registry-eligible with 90 days to obtain.
• BLS cert must be obtained within 14 days of hire and before direct patient care.
• ACLS cert required within six months and kept current.
• Complete a 6-lead EKG course within six months.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures under supervision.
• Produce quality images while applying radiation and safety measures.
• Collect patient data and document the procedure.
• Assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Cardiologist and the Director of the Cath Lab, performs all routine diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic special procedures. Produce quality images while applying both radiation and physical safety measures.
• Collect patient data and document procedure
• Perform all necessary special procedure radiographic procedures
• Assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures
• Performance Improvement Participation

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Certification and current registration for Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or registry-eligible and must obtain within 90-days of hire
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Obtain ACLS certification within six months of hire and maintain as current
• Attend 6 lead EKG course within 6 months of hire
