Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID is seeking a variable-shift, PRN CT Technologist to perform CT scans and related radiography. You will work under the Radiologist and Radiology Director, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.

The role requires ARRT certification with CT credential, active registration, and enrollment in or completion of a CT training program. A current RT license and BLS within 14 days of hire are required.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Radiologist and Director of Radiology, perform quality CT scans and, as needed, radiography, while applying both radiation and physical safety measures.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in contrast administration, positioning, and exposure technique.
• Remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills.
• Use independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Certification and current registration for Registered Technologist (R.T.) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Graduation from or currently enrolled in an accredited CT training certificate program or school.
• Must hold or obtain current licensure as RT(R)(CT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within one year of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
