Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID seeks a Day shift, full-time Cardiac Cath Lab Special Procedures Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures under cardiology supervision.

The role requires ARRT/RCIS eligibility or certification, BLS and ACLS within specified timelines, and completion of a 6-lead EKG course within six months. On-site position with Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute.

Qualifications

Certification and current registration for Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI or registry-eligible and must obtain within 90 days of hire.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire and maintained.
Attend 6 lead EKG course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Cardiologist and the Director of the Cath Lab, performs all routine diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic special procedures. Produce quality images while applying safety measures.
Collect patient data and document procedure.
Perform all necessary special procedure radiographic procedures.
Assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures.
Performance Improvement Participation.
