As a Special Procedures Technologist within our Interventional Radiology Lab at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix, you will be an integral part of the team. We are proud to be a Magnet facility, Academic Medical Center, Level 1 Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Department: Angiography-Hosp

Work Shift: Day shift, 4x10s, rotating Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 6:00 pm

Our Interventional Radiology Lab specializes in venous, arterial, and non-endovascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasty, stent placements, neuro coiling, stroke thrombectomy, embolization, Y-90 for liver cancer, ablations, and line placements for chemotherapy and hemodialysis. The team comprises registered nurses, interventional radiologists, neuro interventionalists, advanced practice providers, and technologists, fostering a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities:

• Assist during diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, prepare patients and work area, and ensure proper supplies and equipment are ready.
• Review cases, anticipate physician needs, and maintain sterile techniques.
• Perform prescribed radiographic procedures, ensure high-quality imaging, and maintain documentation.
• Ensure safety and compliance with radiation safety policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• Support department workflow, manage supplies, and may supervise students/support staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certificate or diploma from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• National certification by ARRT and state licensure if applicable.
• BLS certification.
• Typically requires 2 years of clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Additional related education or experience.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 75 pounds, and respond quickly to patient needs, with proper precautions for bloodborne pathogens.
