Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Special Procedure Tech II for the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will support interventional procedures, ensure safety, and provide patient care across age groups in a busy CVIR unit.

The role requires ARRT or RCIS, MD radiographer license, and BLS/ACLS, with on-call duties and 4x10 hour days. On-site at White Oak Medical Center in Maryland.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA / JRCERT Accredited School of Radiography OR completion of an accredited cardiovascular program.
  • 1 year of diagnostic imaging experience
  • Current ARRT or RCIS certification
  • Current Maryland Board of Physicians Licensed Radiographer or RCIS certification
  • BLS and ACLS certification (ACLS required within 1 year)
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to deliver quality patient care and customer service.
  • Demonstrate initiative toward safety and risk management issues.
  • Assist Interventional Physicians in CVIR procedures utilizing various interventional tools.
  • Knowledge of contrast administration/contraindications and plan for adverse reactions.
  • Provide care appropriate to the age of the patient and maintain a safe environment.
  • Contribute to time management of the department by being punctual to work and on assignments.
  • Maintain schedule with flexibility to accommodate all customers with efficiency while providing on-call services.
  • Participate in new product evaluations and learn new procedures with a willingness to share knowledge with peers.

White Oak Medical Center

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Special Procedure Tech II for our Cardiac Cath Lab unit who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Special Procedures Tech II CVIR, you will:
  • Collaborate with peers, physicians, and support staff to deliver quality patient care as well as customer service
  • Demonstrate initiative toward safety and risk management issues
  • Proficient in assisting Interventional Physicians in all CVIR procedures utilizing various interventional tools
  • Working knowledge of contrast administration/contraindications, as well as plan for adverse reactions
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Contribute to the time management of the department by being punctual to work and on assignments according to hospital standards
  • Maintain schedule with flexibility to accommodate all customers with efficiency while providing on-call services during off hours
  • Participate in new product evaluations as well be learn new procedures with a willingness to share knowledge with peers.
Qualifications include:
  • High school or GED
  • Graduate of an AMA / JRCERT Accredited School of Radiography OR completion of an accredited cardiovascular program
  • 1 years of diagnostic imaging required ( ex:1 Radiology tech/ Diagnostic Technologist)
  • Current ARRT Certification or RCIS Certification
  • Current Maryland Board of Physicians Licensed Radiographer or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification
  • BLS and ACLS certification ( ACLS required within 1 year )
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Pay Range:
