Job Overview

Assists the nursing and physician team in coordinating daily work from a technical aspect. Supports the Interventional Radiology team in preparing, performing, and completing departmental and non-departmental examinations. Ensures quality control and quality assurance standards are met. Maintains patient comfort while adhering to technical standards during procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active, valid ARRT and NJ DEP licenses.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Minimum of 2 years radiology experience preferred.
• Procedural Interventional Radiology experience preferred.

Preferred:

• Minimum of 2 years radiology experience.
• Procedural Interventional Radiology experience.

Scheduling Requirements

This is a full-time, day shift position at 40 hours/week, involving 4 ten-hour shifts with on-call and weekend rotation requirements.

Essential Functions

• Coordinate daily work schedule and prepare rooms.
• Collaborate with physicians for proper orders, x-ray requisitions, and lab results.
• Manage technical exposure factors with digital and conventional equipment to minimize radiation exposure, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Program digital computers, Schonander film stand, and contrast injectors.
• Ensure radiation safety and coordinate continuing education.
