Job Overview:

Assists the nursing and physician team in coordinating daily work from a technical perspective. Supports the Interventional Radiology team in preparing, performing, and completing departmental and non-departmental examinations. Ensures quality control and quality assurance standards are met. Maintains patient comfort while achieving technical standards during procedures.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active, valid ARRT and NJ DEP licenses.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Minimum of 2 years radiology experience preferred.
• Procedural Interventional Radiology experience preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

• This is a full-time, day shift position, 40 hours/week, with 4 ten-hour shifts, including on-call and weekend rotations.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in coordinating daily work schedules and preparing treatment rooms.
• Collaborate with physicians on orders, x-ray requisitions, and lab results.
• Ensure proper technical exposure settings with digital and conventional equipment to minimize radiation exposure, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
• Program digital computers, Schonander film stand, and contrast injectors.
• Maintain radiation safety and coordinate continuing education.
