Laramie County School District 1’s ALTA VISTA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Cheyenne, Wyoming seeks a Paraeducator - Special Needs to support students under the supervision of a certified teacher. This 8-hour/day, Monday–Friday position pays $18.32/hour with a 12-month pay schedule and benefits.

The role emphasizes assisting with individual goals, data collection, and collaboration with staff. Starting date is immediate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with school-age children preferred.
• Experience with children with special needs preferred.
• First Aid certification preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire
• Training on delegated healthcare procedures within 30 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Assist with students' individual medical and personal needs as directed.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement IEP objectives and track progress.
• Document daily activities, behavior, and assignments for data-driven decisions.
• Maintain classroom materials, supplies, and records; support staff as needed.
