Job summary

Mill Creek Middle School is seeking a Special Needs Classroom Nurse for a 0.6 FTE position for the 2026-2027 school year. The nurse will provide health services for students with disabilities in a center-based special education classroom and may also support students on bus/van.

Requirements include a BachelorS of Science in Nursing and RN license; prior experience with children in a special needs setting is preferred but not required.

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing

Purpose:

The special needs classroom school nurse provides health services for assigned student(s) with disabilities who receive their special education and related services through a center-based special education classroom. The goal is to provide medical services while maintaining the student(s) in the educational environment (i.e., special education classroom, general education classroom, playground, bus/van, etc.). This nurse position may also provide medical care for students on their bus/van ride to school.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing
• Registered Nurse License
• Prior experience working with children preferred in a special needs school setting preferred, but not required

Salarycommensurate with degrees held and years of experience

Requirements:

Allemployees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis).If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) wecan accept a copy of your test results. If it's been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
