Job summary

Pacelabdc seeks an Instructional Aide – Disabilities for a temporary assignment in Los Angeles. The role supports children with special needs, collaborates with teachers, and helps implement development plans and IEP/IFSP objectives.

Responsibilities include one-on-one student support, progress documentation, and contributing to staff trainings. Requires a high school diploma or GED and relevant experience; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience with children with special needs/challenging behaviors.
• Experience with IEPs/IFSPs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers to understand disabilities in relation to classroom behaviors.
• Review development plans and communicate methods to staff.
• Provide temporary one-on-one support for children with special needs.
• Build positive relationships with students.
• Assist in developing self-help skills and safety adherence.
• Document progress and contribute to planning and evaluation.
• Support staff training and dissemination of information.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
