Job summary

Kleinfelder's Central and Northern California offices are seeking a Special Inspector to join our growing Bay Area team. You will perform inspection and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to plans and specifications, and you will interact daily with owner and contractor teams.

Education required: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum certifications include ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician and ICC Special Inspector roles; travel throughout the Bay Area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong initiative and ability to work with owner/contractor teams.
• Willingness to travel across the Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction materials in the field to verify conformance to plans and specs.
• Perform laboratory tests on soils and concrete, including compaction curves and compressive strength.
• Prepare daily reports and data sheets; interact with client teams daily.
