Job summary

Kleinfelder in California is seeking a Special Inspector to join our Construction Services team. You will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field and in the lab, ensuring conformance to plans and specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, willingness to travel throughout the Bay Area, and certification readiness within 60 days. Strong initiative and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have own vehicle, valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willing to travel throughout the Bay Area of California.
• Minimum certifications or ability to obtain within 60 days (ACI, ICC, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field.
• Prepare daily reports and data sheets for active projects.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests on soils and concrete, including tests like compaction curves and compressive strength.
• Interact daily with owner and contractor teams to verify conformance to plans and specifications.
