Job summary

Fund for Southern Communities in Indiana seeks a Special Initiative Project Coordinator to help manage the Annie E. Casey Community Investment Fund initiative and the SBGW grant program, working with BBCF, Tides Foundation, and Truthspeaks Innovation Fund to expand grantmaking and program services.

The role requires collaboration, strong communication, nonprofit sector knowledge, and willingness to travel and meet deadlines, with duties spanning programs, donor relations, and public outreach.

Qualifications

• Progressive social change orientation is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• College degree preferred; Master’s Degree a plus.
• Strong knowledge of the nonprofit sector and philanthropic community.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and database software.
• Ability to work within seasonal deadlines.
• Self-discipline and self-starter attitude.
• Ability to coordinate meetings and events.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Results-oriented with professional appearance.
• Willingness to travel including weekends.
• Experience collaborating with diverse organizations in the South.

Responsibilities

• Manage Community Investment Fund Initiative.
• Coordinate SBGW grant activities with other cohorts.
• Coordinate technical assistance workshops and offerings for grantees and potential grantees.
• Manage the Grantee Partners Database Program.
• Manage Donor Database.
• Develop content for Annual Report, e-newsletters, brochures and other needed materials.
• Development of PR materials and increasing public awareness.
• Update website content in concert with webmaster.
• Provide leadership towards implementing FSC's mission and goals.
• Represent FSC in philanthropic networks regionally and nationally.
