Job summary

AMERICAN FURNITURE RENTAL, INC. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Special Events Account Executive to drive sales and lead client-focused furniture event solutions.

The role requires building relationships, presenting options, and managing end-to-end event planning from concept to execution. The candidate will conduct numerous in-person meetings, network at events, and collaborate with the inside sales team to achieve monthly goals while ensuring top-notch customer service and clear policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, or marketing.
• 2+ years of outside sales success.
• Experience with sales calls and in-person presentations.
• Familiar with social and corporate event markets in the Bay Area.
• Knowledge of Destination Management Company (DMC) business.
• Computer-savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Customer service experience and the ability to build relationships.
• Excellent project and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the inside sales team to meet monthly sales goals.
• Provide excellent customer service in person, by phone and email, ensuring customer happiness and repeat business.
• Identify and research potential sales leads to visit.
• Conduct 40 pre-planned in-person meetings monthly with existing and potential clients.
• Create a 12-month business plan with objectives and quarterly initiatives.
• Enter information related to potential leads and existing clients.
• Create presentations for client event needs and explain options based on theme, budget, availability, and style.
• Help clients design events using furniture and suggest alternatives.
• Communicate rental policies to clients and manage expectations.
• Attend all Sales/Ops weekly meetings and 3–5 networking events monthly.
• Participate in monthly calls with regional sales team.
