Family of Kidz in Suffolk County, NY is seeking a Special Educator to work with children in home and community settings. The role targets IEP goals with individualized, multi-sensory lessons and requires NYS SWD certification.

Hours are typically afternoon/evening, following the school calendar. Compensation ranges from $50 to $70 per hour, with part-time benefits and potential full-time opportunities. Collaboration with supervisors and ongoing PD are part of the role.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification SWD (1-6,5-9,7-12, all grades or Permanent) required.
• 1+ year experience with children and families preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in home/community settings to pursue IEP goals with individualized lessons.
• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons aligned to IEP goals.
• Collect data on IEP goals and report progress quarterly.
• Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors and school teams.
• Maintain attendance records and submit electronic billing daily.
• Engage in professional development and maintain professional standards.
• Attend CSE meetings.
