Job summary

Family of Kidz seeks a Special Educator to support students in home and community settings throughout Nassau County, NY. The role follows the school calendar and offers afternoon/evening hours with a compensation range of $50–$70 per hour.

Position may be part-time, fee-for-service, or full-time depending on caseload and credentials. NYS Certification in SWD is required; bilingual candidates are a plus. Benefits for part-time staff are available.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification SWD required or eligible for certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in settings supporting children and families preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in home and community settings to deliver individualized lessons aligned with IEP goals.
• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons based on IEP goals to engage learners with varying abilities.
• Collect data on IEP goals and report progress quarterly.
