Job summary

Family of Kidz in Westchester County, NY seeks a Special Educator to work with children and their families in home and community settings. The role involves developing IEP-based, multi-sensory lessons, collecting data, and reporting progress while coordinating with supervisors and school teams.

This part-time, fee-for-service or full-time position offers afternoon/evening hours, calendar-based scheduling, and a comprehensive benefits pack for 25+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification SWD (1-6,5-9,7-12, all grades or Permanent).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in supporting children and families preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in home and community settings to provide individualized lessons targeting IEP goals.
• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons based on IEP goals to engage learners of varied abilities.
• Collect data on IEP goals and report quarterly on progress.
• Maintain communication with lead supervisors and school teams.
• Attend CSE meetings and maintain attendance and electronic billing.
• Participate in professional development trainings to stay current.
