Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Special Educator to support children with special needs in home and community settings across Suffolk County, NY. The role includes developing IEP-aligned lessons, collecting progress data, and collaborating with supervisors and school teams.

Compensation ranges from $50 to $70 per hour, with part-time or fee-for-service options depending on caseload. Benefits are offered for those working 25+ hours weekly, including medical, dental and vision coverage, FSA and pet

Qualifications

• NYS Certification SWD (1-6,5-9,7-12, all grades or Permanent).
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with children and families preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in home/community to provide individualized lessons targeting IEP goals.
• Develop creative multi-sensory lessons based on IEP goals to engage learners of various abilities.
• Collect meaningful data on IEP goals and report quarterly progress.
• Ongoing communication with lead supervisors and school team.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practices.
• Attend CSE meetings.
