Job summary

Minnetonka Public School Service Center seeks a 2026-27 Special Ed Program Temporary Teacher (1.0 FTE) for a center-based program. The role emphasizes licensed student support services and programming aligned with IEPs, with duties spanning collaboration, communication with families, and behavior management.

The ideal candidate holds a Minnesota K-12 ASD/DD license or is willing to obtain ASD licensure within two years; EBD/LD licensure may be considered.

Qualifications

• Minnesota K-12 ASD/DD teaching license is required.
• Willingness to obtain ASD licensure within two years if not already held.
• Experience with autism and related educational strategies.
• Experience with case management for special education students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide programming based on IEP and data.
• Communicate with parents via Schoology, newsletters, calls, emails, conferences.
• Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior to ensure effective learning.
• Participate in meetings, coursework, workshops to stay current with best practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
• Manage cases for special education students.
• Complete required Due Process procedures within mandated time frames.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature.
