Qualifications

• Certified as a Teacher of Students with Special Needs or School Adjustment Counselor or LSW or Guidance Counselor.
• Membership in professional association(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Chair evaluation teams for initial referrals, re-evaluations, and out-of-district placements.
• Assist the Director of Special Education to return out-of-district students.
• Increase inclusion programs with the school community.
• Maintain accurate caseload figures for staff to ensure staffing needs.
• Assist regular education teachers with accommodations and modifications.
• Maintain compliance with Special Education timelines and regulations.
• Attend after-school meetings and work with regular education staff.
• Meet with principals to discuss issues and regulations.
