Qualifications

• Certification as a Special Education Teacher or Related Service Provider.
• Master’s Degree in Education.
• SEI Endorsement and experience with language acquisition.
• Knowledge of federal/state regulations governing SPED and TEAM evaluation.
• Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding and implementation of IDEA and related regulations.
• Provide guidance to Principals and Directors to promote compliance and FAPE.
• Facilitate prereferral, tiered interventions, and eligibility processes as a team member.
• Attend monthly ETC and SPED Department meetings as required.
• Coordinate IEP eligibility determinations and ensure services in LRE.
• Monitor IEP timelines and ensure district compliance with state/federal rules.
• Lead IEP team discussions to identify student needs and services.
• Ensure access to general curriculum in the Least Restrictive Environment.
• Oversee documentation in SAGE-IEP/IEP Management System.
• Provide professional development and technical support on IEP processes.
