Job summary

Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School in South Hadley, MA seeks an Educational Team Leader to manage the IEP process for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role reports to the Director of Student Services and chairs IEP meetings, writes plans, and coordinates communication with families and districts.

The position focuses on collaboration with special education liaisons, counselors, and staff to support transitions, evaluations, and compliance with special education laws

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Special Education certification or similar.
• Experience developing Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs).
• Knowledge and experience with transition planning.
• Experience with culturally diverse populations.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and facilitation skills.
• Prior experience working with secondary students is desirable.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated experience with the special education evaluation process, parents’ rights, and current special education law and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Chair IEP Team meetings and ensure documentation is complete.
• Develop, write, and review Individualized Education Plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families in the IEP process.
• Coordinate with sending districts for transitions into PVPA.
• Maintain regular contact with the Student Services Office and relevant staff.
• Attend district trainings and Special Education department meetings.
