Qualifications

• Active Special Education teaching certification/license (state requirements).
• Experience with small-group interventions and skill-building instruction.
• Knowledge of IEP implementation, goal tracking, and progress monitoring.
• Strong collaboration and communication with school teams and families.
• Ability to create a supportive, structured learning environment for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction in a resource room/pull-out setting for targeted skill areas (reading, math, etc.).
• Deliver small-group instruction aligned to student goals and instructional needs.
• Implement IEP services and support progress toward IEP goals.
• Collect data and monitor student progress; adjust instruction and interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff.
• Communicate effectively with families and participate in meetings as needed (IEP/team meetings).
