Position Overview
- Setting: On-site K-12 Public School Classrooms (Resource, Inclusion, or Specialized SDC)
- Start Date: Immediate
- Caseloads: Mild/Moderate Support Needs (MMSN) or Extensive Support Needs (ESN / Mod-Severe)
What You Will Do
- Provide direct, targeted instruction to individual students and small groups based on IEP goals.
- Write, track, and manage IEPs using district software like SEIS.
- Work alongside general ed teachers, paras, speech therapists, and parents to implement student accommodations and behavior plans.
- Maintain a structured, positive classroom environment using behavioral strategies and assistive tech.
What You Need
- Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Credential: Active California Education Specialist Instruction Credential. Preliminary, Clear, Level I/II.
- Authorizations: Preferred R3MM (Mild/Moderate) or R3EN (Extensive Support Needs), plus English Learner Authorization (ELAE or CLAD).
- Key Skills: Solid knowledge of IEP compliance, clear communication, and a practical approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
