Job summary

Ro Health is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate and Mod/Severe) for on-site K-12 classrooms in the South Bay Area. Start date is immediate, with settings including Resource, Inclusion, or Specialized SDC.

You will develop IEP-based instruction, write and track IEPs using SEIS, and collaborate with general ed teachers, paras, speech therapists, and families to implement accommodations and behavior plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Active California Education Specialist Instruction Credential. Preliminary, Clear, Level I/II.
  • Preferred R3MM (Mild/Moderate) or R3EN (Extensive Support Needs), plus English Learner Authorization (ELAE or CLAD).
  • Solid knowledge of IEP compliance, clear communication, and a practical approach to supporting students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, targeted instruction to individual students and small groups based on IEP goals.
  • Write, track, and manage IEPs using district software like SEIS.
  • Work alongside general ed teachers, paras, speech therapists, and parents to implement student accommodations and behavior plans.
  • Maintain a structured, positive classroom environment using behavioral strategies and assistive tech.
