Job summary

Onward Education in Maple Grove, MN is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year to cover a Leave of Absence and transition to another classroom for the remainder of the year. This on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:40pm (35 hours/week) with responsibilities to develop individualized plans, support mainstream classrooms, and monitor progress.

Requires Minnesota teaching license with SPED endorsement; opportunities for growth and collaboration with district

Qualifications

Valid Minnesota teaching license with a specialty in Special Education and Tier 3 or Tier 4 endorsement.
Experience supporting targeted interventions in a school setting.
Ability to plan and deliver specialized instruction in a resource room.
Strong collaboration with general education staff.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized instruction plans for students in resource rooms.
Provide targeted skill-building activities focusing on identified areas of difficulty.
Collaborate with general education teachers to support student success in mainstream classrooms.
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
