Job summary

LEARN Academy in Riverside, CA is seeking a Special Education Teacher with Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe teaching certification to join our collaborative school team. You will develop and implement IEPs, adapt instruction, and monitor student progress to help learners access supports and opportunities.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practices, collaboration with families and a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to inclusive education for students with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field.
• Arizona Credential or enrolled in certification program.
• Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe certification required.
• Autism-specific or related certificate preferred with another credential.
• Willing to implement safety measures per PCMA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs and SDI.
• Deliver instructional activities in a positive learning climate.
• Identify and modify instructional resources for diverse learners.
• Assess curricular needs and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with OTs, SLPs, BCBA, clinicians and administrators.
