Job summary

CREC River Street School in Windsor, CT seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students across elementary, middle and high school levels. You will deliver direct and consultative services, implement district curriculum, and document progress for PPTs.

Strong candidates will have Special Education training, collaboration skills, and experience with diagnostic assessments, IEPs, and data-driven planning to maximize learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• State Certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• Applicants with knowledge of and experience in utilizing ABA principles are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, testing, and diagnostic examinations of students to identify learning issues.
• Participates in PPTs and assists in developing IEPs for students.
• Assists students and staff in implementing IEPs and behavior plans.
• Collaborates with general education teachers to design and implement programs.
• Collect, organize, and maintain data and systems for student records.
