Job summary

EDU-AIDs LLC in Somers, Connecticut is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our inclusive program. You will develop and implement IEPs, provide instruction across one‑on‑one, small group, and whole class settings, assess student needs, set personalized goals, monitor progress, and adapt instruction to diverse learning styles.

You will collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.

Qualifications

• Valid state certificate in Special Education (Mild to Moderate or Moderate to Severe).
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction in various settings (one-on-one, small group, whole class).
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success.
• Monitor and assess student progress; adjust instruction as needed.
• Maintain records of student performance and IEP compliance.
• Participate in professional development and training.
