Job Responsibilities:
  1. Meet and instruct assigned classes at designated locations and times.
  2. Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within resource limits.
  3. Prepare for classes and provide written evidence of preparation upon request.
  4. Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
  5. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media suitable for physical limitations and student needs.
  6. Implement the district's educational philosophy and instructional goals through instruction and actions.
  7. Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  8. Regularly evaluate students' progress.
  9. Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and policies.
  10. Uphold and enforce school rules, regulations, and policies.
  11. Be available to students and parents outside instructional hours when required.
  12. Attend and participate in faculty meetings.
  13. Collaborate with staff in planning instructional goals and methods.
  14. Assist in selecting instructional materials.
  15. Participate in co-curricular activities as assigned.
  16. Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic and behavioral progress.
  17. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with others.
  18. Pursue professional growth through ongoing education and development activities.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  2. Valid New Jersey Teacher Handicapped certification or eligibility.
Additional Information:

Reports to: Principal

Job Goal: To lead students toward their full potential and implement instructional programs as per Individualized Educational Plans.

Salary: In accordance with the TEA contract for a 10-month position.
