Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning, Inc. in Stamford, CT is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. You will manage a caseload of up to 10 students, implement academic and behavior programming, and oversee each student’s IEP.

Our program uses Applied Behavior Analysis, Direct Instruction, and data-based decision making. You will collaborate with the BCBA and instructional staff to design effective plans and support students toward greater independence.

Qualifications

• CT certification in special education or DSAP eligibility.
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis/Precision Teaching/Direct Instruction.
• Experience with students with challenging behaviors.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of referral procedures.
• Driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Therap software experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of up to 10 students with IEP implementation.
• Oversee academic and behavior programming in the classroom.
• Supervise instructional assistants and one-on-one ABA therapists.
• Collaborate with BCBA and team to develop student programming.
