Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning in Stamford, CT is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support a K-12 program using ABA-based instruction. You will manage a caseload of up to 10 students, implement individualized education programs, and supervise instructional staff.

The ideal candidate will hold CT certification in special education, have familiarity with ABA/Precision Teaching/Direct Instruction, and demonstrate strong communication and organization skills. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• CT certification in special education or DSAP eligibility.
• Familiarity with ABA/Precision Teaching/Direct Instruction.
• Experience with students with challenging behaviors.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years driving experience.
• Therap experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of up to 10 students within a classroom.
• Implement academic and behavior programming.
• Oversee each student’s IEP implementation.
• Supervise assigned Instructional Assistants and one-on-one ABA Therapists.
• Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to develop and implement student programming.
