Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a state-approved K–12 program. You will manage a caseload of up to 10 students, implement academic and behavior programming, and supervise instructional staff while collaborating with a BCBA and the broader team.

We apply evidence-based instruction and data-driven decisions to maximize student success, delivering Direct Instruction and Precision Teaching within a supportive, mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• CT certification in special education required.
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis/Precision Teaching/Direct Instruction.
• Experience with students with challenging behaviors preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of appropriate referral procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years driving experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills; Therap experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of up to 10 students within a classroom.
• Implement academic and behavior programming and oversee IEPs.
• Supervise assigned Instructional Assistants and ABA Therapists.
• Collaborate with the BCBA and team to develop and implement student programming.
