Job summary

REAL Journey Academies in Moreno Valley, CA is seeking a dedicated SPED teacher to provide specialized instruction for students with disabilities. The role involves developing and implementing IEPs, coordinating with general education teachers, and collaborating with families to ensure effective accommodations and services.

You will deliver direct instruction, maintain student records, use SEIS, and participate in professional development to stay current with special education laws and RJA

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid internship, Level I or Level II Education Specialist credential (Mild/Moderate) issued by CA.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Ability to work with students with identified disabilities and to collaborate with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction and support to students with identified special needs.
• Develop IEPs following CA requirements and RJA guidelines.
• Monitor data and progress toward IEP goals; adjust instruction as needed.
• Consult with staff, parents, and outside agencies for appropriate services.
• Lead IEP Team Meetings in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Provide co-teaching and instructional support in general education settings.
• Coordinate services to ensure cohesive program for caseload.
