Seattle Public Schools is seeking a Distinct classroom special education teacher to collaborate with the building principal and staff to deliver individualized instruction and support student progress.

You will adapt objectives and standards for students with disabilities, provide instruction, counseling, and supervision to meet individual needs while maintaining compliance with SPED regulations and district guidelines.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent.
• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Education Endorsement.

• Foster an educational environment and plan instructional programs meeting individual student needs.
• Prepare individual student lesson plans; adapt and modify programs as necessary.
• Use instructional methods and materials suited to students' well‑being; implement program objectives.
• Establish classroom policies; provide guidance and discipline to meet standards of achievement.
• Confer with students, parents/guardians, specialists and staff to maintain open relationships and guide student achievement.
• Establish goals and evaluate progress; prepare reports for parents/guardians.
