Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and readiness to teach in an urban, culturally diverse school.
• Ability to design and adapt instruction for students with a wide range of achievement.
• Knowledge of special education regulations and district guidelines.
• Experience with behavior management and classroom routines.

Responsibilities

• Plan instructional program and adapt lessons to meet individual student needs.
• Apply instructional methods suited to student well-being and curriculum objectives.
• Establish classroom policies, guide behavior, and provide counseling.
• Meet with students, parents, and staff to support student achievement.
• Set goals aligned with IEPs and report progress to parents.
• Direct non-certificated staff and supervise student care needs.
• Collect and interpret data; develop and evaluate IEPs; prepare reports.
• Attend required staff meetings and professional development.
