Job summary

ESC Region 11 is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse needs. The role involves developing engaging instruction, tailoring curricula to student abilities, and delivering services in self-contained or collaborative settings.

Responsibilities include leading ARD meetings, implementing IEP goals, and collaborating with families and staff to promote student growth and success in accordance with district policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid Texas teaching certificate with SPED endorsements.
• Endorsements for required assignment and core content certification.
• Experience with IEP development and ARD processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop IEPs through ARD process for each student.
• Implement instructional or therapy program with documented preparation.
• Assess student learning styles and tailor strategies and materials.
• Present content using varied instructional techniques, including tech.
• Collaborate with teachers to modify curricula and support inclusion.
• Participate in ARD meetings and select instructional media.
