Qualifications

• Georgia certification requirements in the appropriate field of education are required.
• Knowledge of GCPS AKS curriculum and content areas is essential.
• Ability to infuse technology into instruction to enhance student learning.
• Experience collaborating with administrators, staff, students, and families is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide learning experiences based on the district's AKS curriculum.
• Direct instruction and/or specially designed instruction aligned to IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop academic and behavioral programs.
• Lead in-service programs on IDEA and related topics.
• Support inclusion of students with disabilities in regular classrooms.
• Assess student work and adjust instruction to improve outcomes.
• Prepare lesson plans and design assessments to measure progress toward AKS objectives.
