Job summary

UNIZON Health Choice seeks educators for Middle School & Elementary School SPED roles in a full-time site-based program. The positions involve supporting approximately 14 students in SSN and general education collaboration with teachers, specialists, and families.

Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction, developing individualized goals, and implementing behavior-management strategies in a structured, inclusive classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education license/credential required and must be in hand for consideration.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning and support needs preferred.
• Experience with Autism, SSN, Mod/Severe, or behavior management strongly preferred.
• Strong classroom-management, communication, and collaboration skills.

Full-Time available: Middle School & Elementary School

Available Settings

• Approximately 50% Significant Support Needs (SSN) and 50% Learning Specialist responsibilities
• Support approximately 14 students in the SSN program, plus additional mild/moderate support students
• Develop individualized instructional strategies and support student learning and progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and school staff

Elementary School - K-5

• Structured Learning Services / Center-Based Program
• Primary focus on K-2
• Caseload of approximately 8-14 students
• Support students with Autism and varying support needs
• Work alongside paraprofessionals and school support staff
• Implement structured classroom routines and effective behavior-management strategies

Key Responsibilities
