The Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 is seeking a Special Education/SPED Teacher with Significant Support / Autism to join Weikel Elementary School. The position requires eligibility with Colorado teaching credentials and appropriate endorsements, with emphasis on high-quality instruction and student support.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, valid Colorado teaching certificate in SPED, and endorsement in Special Education, with possible alternative licensure pathways.

• Alternate licensure programs or TEEs may be considered by the Board.

• - Can be enrolled in a TEE or Alternative Licensure program
• 3. Such alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate.

• 6. Knowledge of the federal, state, local legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures that mandate and guide special education.

Salary: Certified salary is based upon degree status and years of experience. Horizontal advancements are based upon "Graduate" level credits and staff development hours obtained after the last degree was conferred.

One year of credit will be provided for each year of approved outside teaching experience.
