Rome City Schools in Rome, GA is seeking a Special Education Teacher (General Curriculum) to deliver IDEA-aligned services to eligible students. The role reports to the Building Principal and requires a GAPSC license with Special Ed General Curriculum certification.

The position emphasizes collaboration with families, IEP teams, and a multidisciplinary staff, maintaining records, confidentiality, and compliance with state and federal policies. 190-day contract, 8 hours daily, on-site.

Qualifications

• Three years of successful teaching experience as a general education or special education teacher.
• Valid GAPSC license with special education certification or endorsements.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Provide specially designed instruction based on high-leverage practices for students on general curriculum.
• Direct ESS Paraprofessional activities to support IEP goals and access to standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate student records.
• Communicate with families, colleagues, IEP team, and staff.
• Facilitate IEP meetings with multi-disciplinary providers.
