Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited college/university.
• Hold or be eligible for North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in Exceptional Children’s teaching area.
• Must hold and maintain valid NC driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities and updates as needed.
• Implements instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools for specially designed instruction.
• Assist students in completing curriculum tasks and IEP goals.
• Use accommodations and modifications to meet student needs; adapt materials as required.
• Monitor student behavior and maintain classroom discipline; deescalate when needed.
• Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with team members.
• Stay current with trends and best practices by professional development.
