Job summary

New Story Schools in Reading, PA seeks a Special Education Teacher to support students ages 5–21 with autism and developmental challenges. You will provide individualized instruction and collaborate with therapists and families to foster academic, social, and emotional growth.

You’ll create and implement IEPs, complete progress reports, and tracking student progress to ensure timely documentation and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certification (K-12) required.
• Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Adaptability to support multiple classrooms and instructional needs.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement IEPs, lesson plans, and instructional strategies tailored to each student’s goals.
• Complete IEPs, progress reports, and required documentation accurately and on time.
• Partner with parents, multidisciplinary teams, and school staff to promote student success.
• Maintain a structured classroom environment using effective behavior management and intervention strategies.
• Track student progress through evaluations, assessments, and behavioral data collection.
