Job summary

New Story Schools in Reading, PA is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students ages 5–21 with autism and emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. You will create and implement IEPs and tailored instructional strategies in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

You’ll work with educators, therapists, and families to document progress, maintain required records, and promote student growth academically, socially, and emotionally.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certification (K–12)
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Adaptability to support multiple classrooms

Responsibilities

• Create and implement IEPs, lesson plans, and instructional strategies tailored to each student’s goals
• Complete IEPs, progress reports, and required documentation accurately and on time
• Partner with parents, multidisciplinary teams, and school staff to promote student success
• Maintain a structured classroom environment using effective behavior management and intervention strategies
• Track student progress through evaluations, assessments, and behavioral data collection
