Job summary

AB Staffing Solutions is seeking a Special Education Teacher for openings in Elementary and High School locations in Illinois. The contract runs through the 26/27 school year and follows the academic district calendar, with a 37.5 hour work week.

The role offers a pay rate of $55-$58 per hour, with room to negotiate based on experience. Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree, a PEL endorsed for Learning Behavior Specialist, and have experience with IEPs, case management, and diverse

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid PEL endorsed for Learning Behavior Specialist.
• Experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs.
• At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Ability to stand/sit for extended periods and lift up to 25–40 pounds.

Job description

Special Education Teacher Details:

• Openings in Elementary and Highschool - Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location.
• Contract through the 26/27 school year.
• The contract follows the academic district calendar - 37.5 hours per week.

Pay:

• $55 - $58 per Hour.
• Room to negotiate pay based on experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Professional Educator’s License (PEL) endorsed for Learning Behavior Specialist.
• Proficiency in the subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs.
• At least one year of teaching experience with students with a variety of disabilities, including students with behavior disorders and other learning and cognitive delays, preferred.
• Must possess strong communication and organization skills.
• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
