Job summary

AB Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year in Lexington, South Carolina. This 40-hour contract runs through the academic calendar with a weekly salary of $1,920–$2,080.

Responsibilities include planning, adapting IEP-based instruction, and collaborating with families and staff. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Special Education, an active SC teaching license, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special Education from an accredited college or university.
• Active SC Special Education Teaching license.
• Knowledge of core academic subjects, curriculum, and ability to instruct students and manage behavior.
• Experience with students with a variety of disabilities preferred.

Special Education Teacher

AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Special Education Teacher that is available for the 2026/2027 school year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special Education from an accredited college or university
• Active SC Special Education Teaching license
• Knowledge of core academic subjects assigned, curriculum, and ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and policies affecting special education
• At least one year of teaching experience with students with a variety of disabilities, including behavior disorders and other learning and cognitive delays (preferred)
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
• Must demonstrate initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds
• Driver’s License

Job Description:
