Special Education Teacher

AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Special Education Teacher for the 2025/2026 school year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited college or university
• Valid State of Arizona professional teacher certificate with Special Education Endorsement
• AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Knowledge of core academic subjects, curriculum, and behavior management
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal special education regulations
• At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities, preferred
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds regularly, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
• Valid Driver’s License

Job Description:

Caseload and classroom details will vary based on the school location. Our Recruitment Specialists will discuss specifics upon application to match your experience and skills.

Contract duration: Through the 2025/2026 school year – 37.5 to 40 hours per week, following the academic calendar.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students’ needs
• Adapt curriculum based on IEPs and diverse learning styles
• Maintain communication with parents and collaborate on strategies
• Create a safe, positive, and organized learning environment
• Manage behavior and facilitate a productive classroom atmosphere
• Provide individualized and group instruction using specialized techniques
• Assess and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Ensure compliance with regulations and complete necessary documentation
• Participate in professional development

Salary: $1,687.50 – $1,950.00 per week
