Job description

Therapy Source is seeking Pennsylvania-certified Special Education Teachers to provide in-person instruction to private school students in autism and emotional support classrooms in the Wyomissing, Kutztown, and Reading, PA area during the current school year.Full-time and part-time openings are available, with hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Depending on the campus, classrooms may serve elementary, middle, or high school students. These roles do not involve crisis intervention or physical holds.Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals.Maintain a structured, supportive classroom for students with autism and emotional support needs.Contribute to the development and implementation of students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress.Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation and records.Collaborate with school staff and other members of the educational team as appropriate.Must Have:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related fieldPennsylvania Instructional I or II Special Education certification, OR Pennsylvania Private School certification in Intellectual Disabilities K–12At least 6 months of experience working with students with special needsAbility to provide services in personUp-to-date required clearances, or willingness to obtain themProfessional liability insurance, or willingness to obtain itPreferred:Previous experience teaching in an autism or emotional support classroomExperience supporting or participating in IEPsExperience collaborating with multidisciplinary school teamsWhy Therapy SourceAt Therapy Source, we are committed to helping students receive the support they need to succeed.
