Liberty POST is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for per diem employment to work with children aged birth to 5 years through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs. Immediate positions are available throughout Hudson Valley.

Liberty POST has provided high-quality, individualized services since 1994. Originally a speech-language practice in Syracuse, NY, it has expanded to serve all of New York State and New Jersey, employing over 500 professionals. We adopt a collaborative team approach to provide evaluation, direct therapy, and family education through child-directed play, emphasizing the child's natural learning environment, family strengths, and diverse populations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate, monitor, and track child's progress; adjust treatment plans accordingly.
2. Test and evaluate child's abilities to set realistic goals.
3. Document evaluations, treatment, and progress using Electronic Medical Record systems.
4. Write detailed analyses and reports effectively.
5. Organize and maintain confidential records and documentation.
6. Follow all state laws and regulations related to Early Intervention and CPSE/CSE special education.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:

1. Current New York State Licensure and/or Certification in Special Education.
2. Proficiency in MS Word and comfort with computer systems.
3. Valid Driver’s License.
4. Early Childhood Experience.
5. Master’s Degree preferred.
6. NYS Teaching certification in B-2nd grade students with disabilities or permanent certification in Special Education.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• EI
• 60 minutes: $52
• Evaluation: $140-5
• CPSE
• 30 minutes: $52-$60
• 45 minutes: $52-$60
• 60 minutes: $67-$75
• Evaluation: $140-5
